Human trafficking is a huge problem, right here in our own backyard. It is hard to believe that it is actually happening, well it is and our own Sheriff Mike Boudreaux and his department are involved in one of the largest cases on the West Coast! Here are the details that I received from the Sheriff's department. There is a live stream this morning that you can watch that starts at 10:30am. Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra will announce joint efforts in investigating a large-scale human trafficking case Thursday morning at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The investigation began when a concerned Tulare County mother sought help from the Tulare County Sheriff's Office regarding her teenage daughter who had run away from home. This in-depth investigation revealed multiple victims and uncovered a criminal operation that spanned Central and Southern California, and into Nevada and Texas.
