People and Pets can suffer in high temperatures like the weather we have been having.  It really burns me up when I see people letting their animals walk on the hot ground when it so hot outside.  If you need to walk your dog, take off your shoe and feel the ground, or with the palm or your hand, if it is too hot for you to touch, it is also too hot for your pet.  The pads of their feet can burn!  also don't leave pets or people in the car, even in the shade, especially with the windows up.  Temperatures can quickly rise to levels that can be fatal.  Public libraries and bus depots are usually cooling centers, take advantage of them if you don't have AC.
