COOLING CENTERS
Don't be caught by unexpected heat exhaustion!
Tulare and Kings County have Cooling Centers that are open for you to utilize in hot weather. If you don't have air conditioning, or your a/c isn't working.....whatever your reason, you're free to drop into a Cooling Center, free of charge. In fact, a free public transit ride may be available for you to the cooling center. Visalia Transit is still charging for rides to cooling centers, but Porterville, Tulare, and Dinuba are providing free rides. In Kings County, call the Kings Area Rural Transit at (559) 584-0101 for information on available rides.
