Official Rules

No purchase is necessary. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local regulations apply.  This contest is open to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older with a valid Social Security number at the time of entry and reside in the KIOO listening area, defined herein as Tulare, Fresno and Kings Counties in California.  

The contest will begin on 4/3/2023 and end on 4/28/2023   

A contestant may enter the contest by listening submitting their name and contact information on the KIOO website, 997classicrock.com.  Then contestants may listen to 99.7 Classic Rock for their name to be called, Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm.  If contestant hears their name called, and calls the radio station within ten minutes, the contestant will win $100.  The only telephone number for this contest is 559-622-1449.  Once per week, a winner will be drawn from all of the prize recipients from the prior calendar week, and that winner will be awarded a cash prize equal to their paycheck for one week, up to $1,000. The pay for one week may only be drawn from one place of employment. Multiple sources are not permissible for multiple job-holders.  Winners will be required to verify their weekly pay rate to radio station through pay stubs.  Pay stubs must be from within a time period 30 days prior to winning the prize, or they cannot be accepted and prize will be forfeited.   

Only one person per household may win a prize in this contest, and may only win one time in the contest.  Momentum Broadcasting is not responsible for incomplete or lost connections during contesting due to miscommunications, failed computer or telephone transmissions, or other technical difficulties or failures.  Momentum Broadcasting is not responsible for contestants’ failure to be present at grand prize drawing and therefor ineligible to win.

All prizes awards are “as is.” Prizes are nontransferable.   All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. The station will issue an IRS Form 1099 to individuals who win a prize or prizes valued $600 or more in a given calendar year.

Employees, agents, and affiliates of Momentum Broadcasting, its subsidiaries, contest sponsors, associated companies, other radio, television and print advertising companies serving the KIOO-FM listening area as defined above and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to participate or win this contest. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, siblings, grandparents, children, grandchildren and cohabiting significant others.

Unless otherwise stated, the odds of winning any Momentum Broadcasting station contest depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to the number of participants participating at any given time.  

To claim a prize, individuals must appear in person at the Station at the address identified above during regular business hours and within ten (10) business days of winning, or within ten (10) business days of being informed that the prize is available and ready for pickup, excluding holidays. After such time, ownership of said prize reverts to the Station to be disposed of at its discretion. The winner then loses all claims and rights to said prize. To claim a prize, a winner must present proper identification.  

All entrants and winners agree to assign the Station and its licensees, affiliates, and successors the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, re-use, broadcast, or publish their name, city of residence, photo, video tape, film or any other likeness, including portraits and pictures, in whole or in part, as part of a composite, retouched or distorted in character or form, and voice, recorded or live, for any reason the Station deems necessary without compensation, unless prohibited by law. All entrants and winners release, discharge, and agree to hold the Station harmless from all claims they may have against the Station in connection with the foregoing. All entrants and winners further acknowledge that the Station owns or will own exclusively any photographs of them used for such purposes, including the copyrights in them, regardless of the form in which they have been or may be produced and used, and all entrants and winners assign all such ownership rights to the Station.

Individuals can obtain a winners list five (5) days after the conclusion of any Station contest by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Station at the address first written above.
